Apple picking in Vegas

We went to Gilcrease orchard today!
My son Liam learned last week in school all about apples and apple orchards. So what better time then fall to go.

It's free entry so you just pay for the fruits and vegetables you pick. You can use a bag they hand out they also have wheel barrels. The wheel barrels were just laying around also free to use.
We went early cause it's still getting up to high 90°s here in Vegas. It was about 80° it felt perfect.

The kids loved everything about it. Liam was a pro apple picker he showed us how to properly pick them off the trees. I loved the rows of trees and the mountains in the background it really was so beautiful.

They also had a huge pumpkin patch a real patch! We are gonna go back another time and get some pumpkins.

At checkout they have a stand of donuts, apple cider, popcorn, and candy apples.
Everything at the stand was pretty reasonably priced the donuts which were so delicious were $3!

The apple cider they had was so refreshing. I'll be getting the 1/2 gallon next time.

We will be returning, it looked like they offered alot more stuff to do at different times of the year. Due to covid I believe they are not offering hay rides this year 😢.

It hasn't been easy getting used to virtual leaning, but we are finding ways to learn outside of just learning on the computer with his teacher.

I'm so happy liam asked me if we had an orchard and if we can go. I'll always cherish these memories with them especially when they are small. I hope when they get older and when they have kids they will want to do the same things with them that we did as a family.

I love you Liam and Teagan.
