Apple picking in Vegas

Image
We went to Gilcrease orchard today! My son Liam learned last week in school all about apples and apple orchards. So what better time then fall to go. It's free entry so you just pay for the fruits and vegetables you pick. You can use a bag they hand out they also have wheel barrels. The wheel barrels were just laying around also free to use.  We went early cause it's still getting up to high 90°s here in Vegas. It was about 80° it felt perfect. The kids loved everything about it. Liam was a pro apple picker he showed us how to properly pick them off the trees. I loved the rows of trees and the mountains in the background it really was so beautiful. They also had a huge pumpkin patch a real patch! We are gonna go back another time and get some pumpkins.  At checkout they have a stand of donuts, apple cider, popcorn, and candy apples. Everything at the stand was pretty reasonably priced the donuts which wer...

skeleton Halloween craft

Image
Love this Easy Halloween craft for the kids.  We love to craft it up in this house especially around the holidays this was super easy and I had all the supplies on hand . Materials needed- 1. Q-tips  2. Liquid glue ( elmer's glue ) 3. Scissors 4. Skeleton  sticker for the head   5. Black  construction paper Start with the head we used a foam sticker we had gotten from a boo bag.  You can draw one too or go look at the dollar store I'm sure you can find some there. For my youngest Teagan I helped by drawing with the glue then she would place the qutips. You will need to cut some qutips in half. And cut just the tips off the qutips for the fingers and feet. Happy Halloween 2020

Riwbox headphones Teagan's enjoying her new adorable rabbit headphones from Riwbox They come in 3 different colors, have Bluetooth and also have an led light option that syncs with the music. We got these right in time for our trip back to Idaho. Having these for the plane and long car rides was so helpful. They are super comfy around their ears and they fold up to fit in their backpacks. Little girl Witch costume

Image
So I finally got the last few pieces for Teagan's witch costume. Its adorable and I'm obsessed with it! Ok for the dress you can get it here  .  This one was 11.91 on amazon this dress ranged in size from 12 months - 6 years old. If you do buy a tulle dress and it comes wrinkled which ours did, we hung it up in the shower and turned on the steam. That was a easy quick fix. For the socks we got them on Amazon as well here . I looked for tights and leggings but couldn't find anything under 12 so I went the knee high sock route. I did size up so they went higher.  She is wearing a pair of biker shorts so all of her legs are covered. For the witch hat and broom it came in a combo on Amazon too here it is. Let me know if you have any questions. For her shoes they are just strappy dress shoes not sure where they are from they were a gift from her grandpa. Brand new school year we are so ready! We are homeschooling this year liam is in 4th, Teagan in 1st, and Emry a get into everything 1 year old toddler. We are deciding to homeschool after not having such a great end to our last school year. I'm very excited to teach my kids and have them home, Emry is loving it so much, she was so sad last year dropping them off for 6 + hours a day.  Our decision to homeschool is our decision just because we choose to educate our kids at home , is not a diss or judgment to other families what so ever. I honestly was scared when we first did  homeschool two years ago. I asked myself all the time am I even qualified to teach my kids, I don't remember everything I learned in school how am I supposed to teach math and phonics? Also how will I be able to give them friendships I remember so much as a kid, that one was big for me. Will they miss out on making bestfriends and memories?  The answer Is I am the best person to be teachin...
